What we collect

• Account: email + name (for sign-in and personalized greetings).
• Study progress: quiz attempts, test results and bookmarks — used only to personalize your dashboard and plan.
• Preferences: target exam, daily study minutes, language preference.

What we don't collect

• Device contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or location.
• Browsing history outside PrepAtlas.
• Data from children under 14, knowingly. We do not run behavioural tracking, profiling, or targeted advertising directed at minors.

Where data lives

Your data is stored in the PrepAtlas PocketBase backend. Access rules enforce that you can only read/write your own attempts, bookmarks, and plans. Admin staff have access to platform-level content (chapters, questions) but not to per-user study data.

Third-party services

• PocketBase — auth, database, storage.
• Razorpay — payment processing (only if you upgrade to Premium).

Your rights

You can export or delete your data at any time. Email privacy@prepatlas.in. Account deletion removes all associated rows within 30 days.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies for auth sessions. No tracking pixels are enabled by default.

Children & parental consent

PrepAtlas is intended for learners aged 14 and above. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, anyone under 18 is a child. At sign-up we require confirmation that a parent or legal guardian consents to a minor's use of PrepAtlas, and we are implementing verifiable parental-consent checks (for example, via DigiLocker) in line with the Act. We do not undertake behavioural tracking, profiling, or targeted advertising directed at children. A parent or guardian may review, export, or request deletion of their child's data by emailing privacy@prepatlas.in.

Grievance officer

In line with the DPDP Act, 2023 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, 2021, you can reach our Grievance Officer at grievance@prepatlas.in. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.
